Puneet Gupta CEO, FOUNDER
Puneet Gupta is a seasoned technology executive and entrepreneur with over 15 years of marketing and operations experience at both large and small technology companies. Most recently, he was CEO of CourseCafe, an online social collaboration application company enabling researchers around the world to work together online on academic and coursework-related research.
Puneet was Director of Product Marketing at Selectica (NASDAQ: SLTC) - an enterprise sales and solutions pricing software company, helping to grow the company from 70 employees to over 900, with one of the top ten IPOs in Nasdaq's history, and guiding it into new industry verticals with innovative solutions, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions. He has also held marketing and product development positions at Peoplesoft, and Oracle Corporation, where he brought several new products to market. He received the Best Innovative Product of the Year award at Oracle.
Puneet holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Ohio State University, Management of Technology from UC Berkeley, and an MBA from Columbia University in New York.
Mike Barsotti CFO
Mike Barsotti is a seasoned financial executive with over 25 years of experience in the high technology industry. Most recently, he was CFO of Apexon, a supply chain software company serving large industrial companies. Prior to that he was CFO of Avistar Communications, a video collaboration software and services company, and Redwood Microsystems, a silicon based actuator company. His career includes senior financial positions at ASK Computer Systems, ROLM/IBM and Alumax.
Mike holds a B. S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M. B. A., both from the University of California at Berkeley. He also is a CPA.
Chuck Pendell VP SALES
Chuck Pendell brings more than two decades of high tech sales and management experience to Connectbeam. Most recently, he was VP of Sales for Active Decisions, a consumer product guided selling technology. Active Technologies was acquired by Knova. His career includes sales and management positions with Burroughs/Unisys, Saros/Filenet, Action Technologies, Movaris, and Selectica (NASDAQ: SLTC), where he built the worldwide sales and field support team from three members to over 100, resulting in the highly successful Selectica IPO in March of 2000.
A native of the Pacific Northwest, Chuck graduated from Washington State University with a BS in Business Administration.
Sanjeev Sisodiya CTO
Sanjeev brings over 12 years of hands-on software development and engineering management experience to Connectbeam. Sanjeev has done pioneering work, and holds patents in the areas of cryptography, file systems and digital media.
Most recently Sanjeev led the Engineering team at CourseCafe Inc. Prior to that he spent four years as Principal Engineer at Bluearc, a network attached storage company. Earlier he spent seven years in a variety of engineering roles at Silicon Graphics.
Sanjeev holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Angelo State, and Masters degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Ohio State.
Farsheed Tari SR. DIRECTOR, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
Farsheed Tari is responsible for all aspects of product management and customer service at Connectbeam. Farsheed brings more than 12 years of successful product management and software development experience at both early-stage startup and large public companies. Over the years he has held responsibilities for product management, product marketing, analyst relations, OEM partnerships, software development and release management.
Prior to joining Connectbeam, Farsheed was the director of product management at Oracle Corp (NASDAQ: ORCL) where he led the Fusion TM SFA product management team. Prior to Oracle, he was a senior product line manager at Siebel Systems (acquired by Oracle Corp NASDAQ: ORCL) where he was responsible for product lifecycle management of Siebel SalesTM application. Earlier in his career, he served as director of product management at Selectica Inc. (NASDAQ: SLTC) a leading provider of configuration and pricing enterprise software that enables customers to manage and sell complex product offerings.
Farsheed holds a bachelor’s of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chamran University and master’s of science degree in Robotics Control from San Jose State University.
