Connectbeam announces the latest upgrade of its enterprise social networking platform & services
Mountain View, CA (June 16, 2009) -- Connectbeam, a leading provider of enterprise social networking applications, today announced the immediate availability of its Social Activity Platform and Applications version 3.2.
"Release 3.2 puts us at the heart of enterprise social software ecosystem. Recent upgrades and feature enhancements will greatly improve usability and performance; providing a tighter integration with existing IT infrastructure and corporate applications such as Microsoft Sharepoint, Outlook, Atlassian Confluence and Jive Clearspace. Major enhancements in this release include:
- Lucene Search Engine Integration: Utilizing Lucene Search Engine to boost Connectbeam Social Search capabilities and allow for more flexibility, faster and more relevant social content and expertise discovery.
- Content Voting: Rate user generated content, aggregated from various E2.0 apps directly from Connectbeam application
- User Profile Enhancements: Users’ expertise, past projects and interests could be used as filters to find related people.
- Newly designed User Management Interface: Manage day to day user administration activities such as add, remove, disable, and activate users and related UI improvements
- Enhanced Web Services APIs & Connector Framework: Introducing advanced social search APIs along with a new set of published REST-based APIs to capture and retrieve users’ social activity streams
- Event Management Infrastructure & Performance Improvements: More optimized and fine-tuned schema design to capture and retrieve social activity content and event streams
