Connectbeam Recognized as 'Cool Vendor' in 2007 Gartner Report
Connectbeam social bookmarking and tagging are "easy to deploy, intuitive to use, and add value"
Redwood City, CA - April 18, 2007- Connectbeam, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise social software, announced today that technology research and analyst firm Gartner has featured Connectbeam as a "Cool Vendor" on its "Cool Vendors in the High Performance Workplace" report for 2007.
The Gartner report states "Connectbeam recognized that it would be easier for enterprises to add a tagging/bookmarking layer on top of their existing information repositories and collaboration environment, and it has focused on supporting this important activity." "Of all the different kinds of social software," the report also states, "it's probably social bookmarks and tagging that have the best cost-benefit ratio" for the enterprise.
This year's Cool Vendors report for the high performance workplace focused on emerging companies. Connectbeam is the only provider of "Enterprise 2.0" social software singled out in the report. The report advises a wide range of enterprise stakeholders to focus on Connectbeam, including "application planners, senior architects, line of business managers and end users."
