Connectbeam Social Software Suite Appliance Named Trend-Setting Product of 2007 by KMWorld

Connectbeam's innovation and market leadership stand out among more than 650 products reviewed

Mountain View, CA (August 29, 2007) - Connectbeam, Inc., the leading provider of an integrated suite of enterprise social software applications, today announced it has been named to the KMWorld list, ”Trend-Setting Products of 2007,“ and will be featured in the September issue of the magazine. The KMWorld list of trend-setters is compiled by a team of editorial staff members and analysts through a year-long process of gathering and vetting information from vendors and users.

Hugh McKellar, editor in chief of KMWorld said, "We selected Connectbeam from among roughly 650 products because we were impressed by its holistic approach to enterprise social software. Connectbeam has innovated not only in its application features but also on how it is delivered and deployed, and customers have welcomed their innovation. Connectbeam is setting new benchmarks for others to follow in the social software for the enterprise business."

Connectbeam's social software application is packaged as a turnkey appliance that sits behind a company's firewall and brings the information sharing, collaboration and ease of use of sites like MySpace and del.icio.us to the daily workflow of businesses in a secure, scalable environment. The Connectbeam Appliance helps workers locate relevant sources of information, and discover and connect with knowledgeable workers, enabling them to build dynamic social networks of fellow employees. The appliance includes an integrated set of social software applications: Social Bookmarking and Tagging, Social Networking, Communities, Expertise Location and Live Profiles.

"Our customers want behind-the-firewall solutions to keep their intellectual property and data secure, and they do not have the time or resources to engage in solutions that take months to get installed and set up, and contain many hidden costs," said Connectbeam founder and CEO Puneet Gupta. "Connectbeam Appliance, with its full feature set, gets up and running in just a few minutes."
