What is the difference between your Software (Virtual Appliance) and Hardware Physical Appliance?
From an application feature and functionality perspective, there is no difference. Each option comes with the full featured Connectbeam Application.
The Software option is packaged as a Virtual Appliance for download. This option allows you to download our application for our website and literally have it up and running inside your company within minutes. There are no fancy installation procedures or tough to buy and configure hardware or software requirements or settings.
The Physical Appliance is further streamlines the installation, set up, and maintenance of the application by pre-packaging both the hardware and software together into a single box.
Connectbeam provides a seamless backup and restore migration path between all levels of its Appliances, and to move from one category to another.
How do you define “users”?
Connectbeam’s Application is based on registered users. If a user is inactive after one year, he/she is no longer counted as a registered user.
Does the subscription price include support and upgrades?
Yes. The subscription prices includes access to support and all upgrades, and patches. For purchases that total below $2,500 you receive basic support (via Connectbeam forums only). All other purchases receive Standard Support. We also offer Premium Support for an additional cost.
What happens when I reach the maximum licensed number of users?
The Application will alert the administrator and user at various thresholds as the number of users approach the number of user license provisioned. How do I purchase additional user licenses? Contact Connectbeam sales at sales@connectbeam.com to renew or add additional licenses.
What happens to my Connectbeam Application data, if I do not renew my license?
Should you chose to discontinue or not renew your service - you stay in control of your data. You will always have Admin access to the application and data. If you are using the Physical Appliance, the Appliance is yours to keep and you own the Appliance and the data on it.
What is the minimum subscription term that I can purchase?
Minimum license subscription term is 12 months.
Can I try out your product before buying?
Yes. You can download the full-featured application from our website for a 30 day, unlimited users, trial period.

Can I migrate from Virtual Appliance to a Physical Appliance?
Yes. The migration from Virtual Appliance to Physical Appliance is seamless. You do this using the Backup and Restore features of Connectbeam application, accessible via the Admin interface.
Can I migrate or upgrade from one Physical Appliance to another?
Yes. Migrating from Connectbeam Virtual Appliance to a Physical Appliance, or from one Physical Appliance to another Physical Appliance is a seamless process.
