We all spend much of our day searching for relevant, up-to-date, and useful information. But information is usually more valuable if we find human expertise to go along with it. Conversely, a colleague can usually direct us to better information in an area of his or her expertise than any search engine.

Yet, until now, no technology has helped enterprise employees find expertise in their organizations to along with the wealth of information available via search. As a result, we often don't extract the majority of information we need or the most valuable information from enterprise intranets, the Internet or enterprise databases.

How Expert Finder Works

Whenever you search for people or expertise with Connectbeam Spotlight, the application will return the list of related individuals, who have identified themselves with that expertise or interest in the organizations, along with their Live User Profiles. When you click on a Live User Profile, you can see their contact information, communities the user is part of, and the user's Tag Clouds. Each user profile is dynamically generated and continuously kept up-to-date to reflect the user's areas of interest and expertise.
